Its clean lines—no visible edging treatment, no cuff, and nearly no visible shaping—are perfect for sublimely soft, squishy yarns that produce dense, delicious fabric. It just feels good.
In Lang Cashmere Light, the Minimalist Hat is like a small cloud of featherlight fluff. Worsted-weight and oh, so soft, this yarn has a loose, chainette construction. Precious, softly waving fibers from the downy coats of cashmere goats are blown through, giving Cashmere Light (and this simple hat) plenty of puff.

19"/48cm around (fits 20-23"/51-58cm head); approx. 10"/25cm deep for shorter slouch or 12"/30cm for longer slouch.
Follow instructions for WORSTED-WEIGHT version.

Lang Cashmere Light (93 yds/85m each)
Shorter version: 2 skeins or approx. 165 yds/151m.
Longer version: 3 skeins or approx. 220 yds/201m.
Shown in Longer version, color 64 Deep Red.
Shorter version (shown with matching Cozy Handwarmers) in color 15.
NEEDLES & NOTIONS
US 9 (5.5mm) 16"/40cm circular needle and set of 5 double-points or size to obtain gauge.
US 7 (4.5mm) 16" circular needles or 2 sizes smaller than gauge needle.
GAUGE
20 sts = 4"/10cm in stockinette stitch on gauge needle.
