The Design
“Doubly sturdy!”
This simple, single-crocheted basket is useful in the kitchen, the bathroom, by the bedside, and on the sailboat (after all, it’s unbreakable). There’s no end to the uses you’ll find! We’ve expanded on our original Crocheted Baskets pattern by creating a larger, even sturdier basket with our yarn held doubled.
For this large Crocheted Baskets, we chose Hemp for Knitting allhemp6—a 100% long fiber hemp yarn that’s also great for crochet! This yarn is wet-spun and mercerized for color fastness, softness, and a gentle sheen. And it won’t shrink, stretch, fade, or pill!

Extra Extra Large: Approx. 10"/25.5cm across x 9"/23cm tall.
YARN
4 skeins Hemp For Knitting allhemp6 (165 yds/150m each), held double throughout.
Or approx. 660 yds/600m of an equivalent DK-weight cotton or hemp yarn, held double.
