The Design
“Heavenly softness.”
This sweet capelet, designed by Britt-Marie Brehmer, is a cozy, versatile accessory! Knit in the round from the bottom up, it’s knit in an irregular ribbing stitch. The texture is at once fascinating and familiar, creating a lovely, sweeping structure as it shapes around your shoulders and ends in a funnel neck.
Angel was knit in a combination of ITO Karei (a wonderfully soft, fingering-weight 100% Mongolian cashmere yarn) and ITO Sensai (a sensational lace-weight strand of 60% mohair and 40% silk). Woolen spun using a time-honored mule spinning method, Karei has three lofty plies with little, multi-colored neps popping along the strand. All is softened and blurred by the addition of airy Sensai!

Or approx. 730 (900, 1050, 1300) yds/670 (810, 920, 1170)m each of an equivalent fingering- and lace-weight yarn held together throughout.
NEEDLES & NOTIONS
US 4 (3.5mm) 16"/40cm circular needle, or size needed to obtain gauge.
Size US 4 (3.5mm) 24–32"/60–80cm circular needle.
Stitch markers, including distinctive marker for BOR.
Tapestry needle.
